I had to reblog this post. I’m only one year older and some of the things mentioned here are very similar to my own feelings. I don’t feel much different from my high school self. (I was a pretty serious kid and teen, an observer, and not easy to understand.) I loved fair rides but was terrified of roller coasters. Now I can’t get enough of them! LOL So in that way, I’m different, for certain. But I do feel like life was meant to be lived and we shouldn’t buy into the ‘adults must act like all other adults and wear sour faces for the rest of their lives’ attitude. I really hate that! There’s no way I’m giving up the things I love just because the years of my life are larger digits than others. I am definitely not a cookie cutter human.
